Tatu cancelled performance in Japan

Time of publication: 19.08.2006 (17:13)
The popular Russian duo Tatu, currently visiting Japan, suddenly cancelled a performance at an event in Nagoya on the 18th. The two girls had planned to perform at three clubs in the city that day. According to the band's Japanese spokesperson, when they visited the first venue, they cancelled the performance because the stage preparations were inadequate and there were only about 20 people in the audience, so "they really weren't the sort of conditions in which Tatu could sing." They went to the other two places. The performances had also been announced on the official homepage of the two girls. According to one of the audience, the performance had already started when the cancellation was announced. The two girls also caused a storm in 2003 when they cancelled a TV performance. Their spokesperson stressed that, "This time it wasn't down to a selfish whim on their part."
