Eurovision ban on Tatu's grope (The Sun - UK)

Time of publication: 07.04.2003
TATU have been banned from snogging and groping on stage at the cheesy Eurovision Song Contest – or face being disqualified.

LENA KATINA and JULIA VOLKOVA, who are representing Russia, have also had to change smutty words in the song Ne ver’ Ne Bojsia – No Faith No Belief – which they will sing in their native language.

A Eurovision insider said: “The girls have had to tone down their lesbian act because it could upset viewers. It would also leave BBC commentator TERRY WOGAN lost for words.

"The rules say the acts must do nothing to bring the competition into disrepute.”

The competition is in Latvia on May 24.
