Tatu will leave a mark at Eurovision (Sydney, Australia)

Time of publication: 29.04.2003
Contestants in this year's Eurovision song contest might be feeling a little miffed about the entry of Russian duo Tatu.

The teenage Russian lesbians, who caused a storm of protest in the UK with their provocative video clip for All The Things She Said, have already reached the top of the charts in Britain and Australia with the song.

But despite their pre-existing fame, the pair have agreed to appear as the Russian representatives in the annual song contest.

Their involvement in the contest has added an unexpected element of cool to the event [I like that bit - Yul.], which is normally famed for showcasing some of Europe's tackiest performers.

Tatu are already clear favourites for the first prize [Hope this proves true too! - Yul.], although the Latvian hosts are rallying to produce some fierce competition.

The Eurovision song contest will be screened on SBS on May 25.
