Organisers of Tatu's UK concerts have confirmed that they have been forced to cancel the gigs.

The lesbian duo were set to perform at London's Wembley Arena on May 2, and Manchester Evening News Arena on May 4.

But both arenas have withdrawn the tickets from their box office, due to lack of interest from fans.

It is thought that the 10,000-capacity arena at Manchester sold just 1,000 tickets while less than 2,000 fans had bought tickets to the 12,000-capacity London show.

Both arenas are offering full refunds to fans who have already purchased tickets.

Julia and Lena will now remain in Russia to prepare for their appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest in Latvia next month.
