A big train for t.A.T.u. : the most clever PR-Gag of Eurovision happens at the main train station in Riga. All the artists flew in, but not the russian superstars. Elena Katina and Yulia Volkova, in a train arriving from Moscow, reach the scene of the Contest with a huge media coverage surrounding them, which all the other contestants can only dream of.

[Leonid tries to protect the girls from all the reporters, photographers, fans, stalkers...]

In the "Hotel de Rome", the girls who are the Song Contest's top favorites take a walk around the lobby, quickly check in and will then just relax for a while in their 5-stars luxurious bed, as such a russian train ride can get the girls really tired out.

Yulia: Everything was ok. We just came from the train and gotta take a look around and see what's up. We weren't really expecting all this! Our room number is 413.

Reporter: When did you cross the border [between Russia and Latvia]?

Yulia: We don't know, we can't remember that, cause we were asleep for most of the time.

Reporter: Can anybody reach you? Is there a telephone number?

Yulia: Yeah, sure! Just call !... [with a sarcastic look on her face; quickly leaves after saying that]

Reporter: Well, then give me the telephone number!....

[The cameramen follow them into the elevator.]

Yulia shouts: "Oy! Attention! Please, get out of here. Go there, there! ...If you came with us, then you'd all know our room number!..."

The Russian Embassy invites their youngest diplomats to a welcome party. t.A.T.u. making politics. With their wild attitudes, the media fuss is garanteed.
The teenage girls are given a great reception by the Russian Embassator. They act like happy kids when they receive a platinum record. Actually, the girls haven't grown up enough to know how to deal with the all the media fuss around them...

[A mass of reporters and photographers surround t.A.T.u.]

Yulia yells: STOP! STOP! [and then starts complaining in russian]

t.A.T.u. - ESC - SAT1 Pt2 - (coscos, crni).avi

Leonid [to the photographers, trying to push them away]: Please!...

Beata [to the photographers]: Everybody doesn't move. Just not move, make shots!

Beata [giving an interview]: This is the first time I've witnessed something like this. It's annoying to have to constantly explain everything to the press. It gets pretty hard.

While t.A.T.u. are number 1 in the European charts, the Eurovision Song Contest should be a career highlight. Although they don't give out that impression, the girls are well prepared.

Beata: Yeah, everything's fine with the girls. They are rehearsing their song. Only Yulia's voice is a bit lower, but I'm sure they'll work it out, they're both strong girls.

A sore throat 2 days before the big finale. The performance by t.A.T.u. is in danger.
A bad atmosphere surrounds t.A.T.u., as the most serious and feared situation has happened: their performance is threatened - Yulia's voice has failed, she must go to the hospital straight away. Manager Beata cancels all their appointments and appearances immediately. Yulia needs absolute rest now, so that she can sing on Saturday night.

Beata: We were inside with the doctor and he told us there are a few problems with Yulia's voice and advised her not to sing and not to speak until Saturday. Well, Yulia's a strong girl and I know she'll get through this.

At the rehearsal, Yulia keeps to herself, but, at the press conference, the 18-year-old t.A.T.u-girl provokes all the media.

t.A.T.u. - ESC - SAT1 Pt3 - (coscos, crni).avi

Reporter: How did you like the stage, the lights, and everything here?

Yulia: I didn't like anything. The sound is bad, the lighting is shit.

Reporters: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

[The girls laugh and seem to enjoy it.]

Reporter: Do you live in the same room or do you sleep separately?

Yulia: Yes, we share the same room and we sleep in the same, rather small, bed.

The girls are asked about the cultural program in Riga. They say don't feel like it. When they're asked what they're going to do instead of that, their answer is: "Sex! ...In that rather small bed."

After trying throughout the whole day to convince them, the girls from t.A.T.u. give us an exclusive interview, in russian.

Yulia: I strongly believe that we're gonna win the 1st place. Other than that is completely out of question. We're gonna have the 1st place, definately.

[Lena's cell phone rings]

Lena: Hello? ... I can't right now, I'm giving in interview on the 7th floor. [hangs up]

Lena: ...The journalists probably didn't like that we said the truth about us not liking how the rehearsal went. They booed us just because we spoke the truth. The press can't stand it when someone doesn't say "everything is great". We were just honest. Why would we just say something bad about Riga?! Mainly, it was just journalists from Riga who started booing us.

Yulia: People love us, and they have awaited us. I think people like us, they're just not used to some of the things we do.

Lena: Germany needs a group like us.

[Turkey won. After the Contest, backstage:]

Lena: I don't know what to think anymore. This is all about politics here! Turkey was perfectly prepared and made a deal!!! What can we do...?

Yulia [looking around]: Where did Lena go?...

[Lena comes back]

[A reporter asks Yulia a question]

Yulia: I'm not answering any questions anymore! [Walks away and shuts the door.]
