Julia Volkova, 17, and Lena Katina, 18, have had a huge hit with All the things she said and are on the soundtrack of Lukas Moodysson's film, Lilja 4-ever.
The Russians have gotten extra much attention because they are being marketed as lesbian, flirtatious girls. Their hit-song has been a serial on the Swedish Tracklist.
When they performed on the Swedish Hit Music Awards in November, the audience cheered when Julia and Lena kissed on stage. But Daily Express states that it's just a PR-trick. None of them is a lesbian, according to the paper. Julia and Lena were chose among 500 applicants by producers that were going to start a girlgroup.

Now they have been photographed with male company in a nightclub in Moscow, and Julia admits:
"Yes, they are our boyfriends."
The girls still claim that they have a relationship.
"You know how it is with feelings... sometimes they change and you can't fight it anymore, says Lena. "That pop-image is just made up. Julia has always had boyfriends."
And Lena says she can't see herself in a relationship with another girl:
"In ten years, both of us will probably have families and children, I think."
They are bisexual
The Russian popduo Tatu have been marketed as lesbians and the girls kiss eachother in the video. Then it was revealed that they have boyfriends. Now Julia and Lena say that they are bisexual.
"I prefer girls, they are more faithful," Julia claims in News of the World and adds:
"I like boys too, swimmers and sportsmen."
The manager forced the young popstars to strip on stage
The young girls in the success-group Tatu were forced to strip on a tour in Russia.
Their manager admits:
"It's possible that someone around them made them do this."
Julia Volkova, 17, and Lena Katina, 18, top the English chart and their hitsingle All the things she said has already sold five million copies in Europe.
Tatu were created by manager Ivan Shapovalov.
But now the famous project is being shaken by accuses about sexcrime.
"Forced to spread legs"
The manager admits that he created the girlband for the audience that is looking for sex with underaged on the Internet.
And on pictures from a tour in Russia last year, the girls strip off their clothes.
Julia was only 16 when she showed her breasts on stage.
The groups ex-songwriter Elena Kiper, who earlier had a relationship with the manager, explain to The Sun.
"It got worse and worse, they had to have sex on stage and spread their legs with their pubic area against the audience, or strip topless and invite the audience on stage. They complained, but it didn't help," says Elena Kipper, who then quit from the project.
In an interview with The Sun IVan Shapovalov denies of having told the girls to stimulate sexacts.
But Julia says loyally:
"We did it, but it was our choice. We like it."
Tatu have been marketed as two young lesbian girls who kiss eachother in the video, but it has been revelead that both actually have boyfriends.
Had sex with Julia, 14
Songwriter Elena Kipper also states that the 36-year old Ivan Shapovalov had sex with Julia when she was only 14 years old.
"He said that he had sex with her the second time they met."
It is said that the manager has also used his position and had sex with more girls in their young teens who dreamed of being stars.
Both him and Julia deny of having a relationship.
But Ivan Shapovalov, who is an educated child psychologist, admits that he uses the situation all the time.
"I like young girls," he says.
Tatu have sex with their fans
The famous group Tatu continue on trying to sell records with their lesbian image. Now the teenage girls are talking about how often they have sex with eachother.
"It is a thousand times better than having sex with a man," 18th year old Julia claims, who also says that they have sex with their fans after the concerts.
But it has earlier been revealed that both her and her friend, Lena, 18, have secret boyfriends.
