Tatu Arrive in Japan, Repeating the Words "Gomen Nasai"

Time of publication: 10.10.2005
The Russian female duo Tatu arrived in Japan on the 9th to publicise their album. Yulia (20) and Lena (21) were in good spirits after stepping off the plane at Narita Airport and said in Japanese "Arigatou (thank you). Gomen nasai (sorry)". Finally, they repeated the words "gomen nasai" three times. During their first visit to Japan in 2003, they caused chaos by walking out of the TV Asahi programme Music Station during the middle of a live broadcast, but Yulia stressed that, "This time we won't do it (suddenly cancel our appearance). We've become adults."

On their new album, the two girls have recorded a song called "Gomenasai" as an apology to Japan and they know the meaning of the words. During the fuss two years ago, they did not once apologise for their behaviour, but this time they surprised record company staff in Japan with their "gomen nasai", which came out of the blue. The two girls will record an appearance on the TBS programme Utaban on the 11th, while on the 12th they will hold a mini-concert in front of just 300 fans in the capital, but it remains to be seen whether this good behaviour is real.
