Interview with Tatu for the Dosug magazine

Time of publication: 28.04.2006
Your album is called "Ludi Invalidy" (Disabled People, rem. TatySite.net). So should this kind of people listen to it?
- This album is about a moral disability of the majority of modern people. One day we looked around and understood that the world became mean and jealous where every person lives its own life without thinking about another people. This album is dedicated to such problems.

Why did it take such a long time to make this album?
- Because first I got pregnant and after we parted with our producer. It took time to find the material, to choose the songs – it all took time.

What did Sting say when he got to know that you are from Russia?
- Unfortunately we haven't met Sting because he recorded the bass part in New York.

You've got lots of fans all over the world. Which audience is the easiest to get moved?
- As we say, "we feel well everywhere - where our fans are".

How are you doing without a producer?
- Excellent. We are our own producers.

Despite of all bans, you kiss on stage during a live broadcast, you refuse to perform at MTV because you are not allowed to bring real guns with you, you pop other scandals up. For what?
- We simply love reality-shows and always do what we want to do.

Tatu is nominated for MuzTv Awards in four categories. Which ones do you think you will win?
- I don't know, we are fine with everything.

What else except your new hits do your fans can expect from you at the gig in St. Petersburg?
- The hits from our old album! (laughing). It will be a fully live show: instruments, voices – no playback. Plus we have a few gimmicks. We won't tell what they are.

What is the most asked and annoying question?
- "Are you lesbians?"

What do you normally answer?
- The thing is that we never said we were lesbians. We simply love each other, we have a good relationship, we are like family.

What do you want to tell to your fans from St. Petersburg before the gig?
- That we terribly missed it. We've been to St. Petersburg 7-8 times during all these years but it's been a while ago since the last time. So, dear fans! Come to the gig! We'll sing and dance together! We love you very much!

The gig is at:
Peterburgsky Arena
Yu. Gagarin Ave.
Tickets: 703-40-40
Date: April 28.
