Tatu Girls Teach Their Musicians To Swear

Yulia Volkova gets a suntan for 500 rubles/hour

It is said that motherhood makes woman more beautiful. Indeed! Take, for instance, Tatu girl Yulia Volkova: After childbirth she only got better. During the Tatu show as a part of "Dvizheniye" festival she danced barefoot, brought the kids from the audience on stage – all in all, she really gave all she had to this show. And she sang live. Too bad it doesn't go with the lesbo-image the band is actively promoting…

Sochi will always remember Tatu crazy party (this is how we should call their show). The dark Yulia grabbed all the attention. And when we say "dark", we mean it literally. Volkova got unrecognizably tanned on the private Sochi beach (500 rubles for an hour for a VIP-bungalow), which she visited on an amazingly regular basis - every morning within several days right after breakfast.

As for the second Tatu girl, Lena Katina, she was calm and quiet, as usual. At least, she didn't show up on the beach topless, like Volkova.

We found out that Tatu musicians are all foreigners. It got clear what Lena and Yulia taught them when the girls introduced the band members at the show. At the drummer's turn, he all of a sudden greeted the audience in fairly good Russian with an English equivalent of "Everything's f***ing awesome!". A moment of silence in the audience followed.

All the show Volkova and Katina made witty jokes, sprinkled each other with mineral water and jumped barefoot on the stage – on the whole, acted like familiar-to-everybody teenage-girls. The only difference now is the jokes. "Soon your kid is gonna be like this!"- noted Katina to mother (well, now, the single mother) Volkova, when a three-year-old girl Sasha came up on stage with a bunch of flowers. "Oh, what cute guys! Come up to me quickly! – squealed Yulia when approached by three stout fellows, but she recollected herself in time: "Lenka, do you mind my company?" "Of course, I do!" Katina answered theatrically.

Lena and Yulia talked from the stage about sufferings, assured the audience longing for the sensational confessions in lesbian love that not everything is lost. They have boyfriends and had a daughter – so what? Who knows, maybe that is the way they test their feelings. Tatu girls seem to stay the same, and songs are of the same breathtaking energy. But they have grown up… and are no longer girls.
