Tatu calls in a carpenter

Time of publication: 14.08.2005
RUSSIAN pop tarts Tatu. are making a comeback - and the faux lesbians are getting an unlikely helping hand from '70s cheeseball crooner Richard Carpenter, who along with sister Karen made up easy-listening duo The Carpenters. Tatu, whose real names are Yulia Volkova and Lena Katina, have also enlisted the help of Sting, who recorded bass on one of their upcoming tracks, according to the London Sun. No word on whether the girls will engage in sapphic tongue play this time around - once a major part of their shtick.
