Pseudo-lesbian pop duo Tatu have ceded the number one position in the singles chart to Beautiful, the single by Christina Aguilera whose video features two gay men kissing.
"All The Things She Said," which features a kiss between the Tatu's two teenage girl singers, has dropped to number three, behind new entries from Christina and DJ Sammy.
Christina's video is not being shown in full on Children's BBC. When shown on The Saturday Show and the CBBC Channel's Top 40 show yesterday, a version removing the gay couple was shown instead.
The BBC have come under fire for their treatment of Tatu on Top of the Pops. They refused to show the video, claiming that it was not banned but being dropped in favour of "live" footage. However, when the duo kissed on stage the director cut to a straight couple in the audience. |
