LONDON (Reuters) - Amid tabloid talk of poor ticket sales, Russian teenage pop duo TATU canceled their first concert in Britain since catapulting to fame with songs about lesbian love.
Alyona Muchinskaya of tour promoters Red Square said the duo had flown to London but the concert set for May 2 was off. She declined to give a reason but tabloid newspapers were full of reports that ticket sales had been poor.
London's Wembley Arena said on its Web Site that ticket holders should take them back for a complete refund.
TATU became the first Russian pop act to reach number one in Britain with their song "All the Things She Said." The video, which showed them kissing each other in schoolgirl uniforms, was banned by the BBC.
