More tATu Trauma! Concert promoters sue the saucy twosome. (BBC - UK)Time of publication: 02.05.2003 |
Yesterday we reported that tATu's UK concerts have been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Now things have gone from bad to worse for the nation's favourite Russian pretend-touchy-feely-same-sex duo, as the promoters of two of the shows are now reported to be suing their managers.
The EEM Group had been behind Julia and Lena's scheduled appearances at London's Wembley Arena and Manchester's MEN Arena, and have told BBC News that demands from the band's management - including 300 girls (under 16, naturally) dressed in school uniforms - made the shows impossible to promote. They've also announced they intend to sue for 300,000 pounds. Yikes!
EEM's Andy Talakin said: "We feel that such an exploitation of the image of underage children is morally totally unacceptable."
He went on to say that he was told Julia would be unable to perform at the concerts due to ill health, but that management could "persuade" her, if the girls were paid more money.
So, if two extremely young-looking ladies approach you (holding hands) with the offer of a cheap used car, just run for the hills!
