Vile Tatu boss arrested over lesbian stunt ("The Sun" - UK)

THE man behind “paedophile pop” duo Tatu was arrested yesterday and accused of perverting the morals of underage girls.

Ivan Shapovalov, 36, was held in Moscow’s Red Square after arranging for more than 300 girls to be in a new video by the lesbian duo.

Many of the girls — all wearing the Tatu “uniform” of short skirts — were as young as seven.

Stunned Tatu singers Julia Volkova and Lena Katina, both 18, watched in silence as their manager was led away.

One cop said: “He threatened the girls’ morality by seeking to pay them 10 roubles (20p) to pose.

“We wanted to stop him exploiting these young children. We didn’t know what he was going to do with them.”

Shapovalov was later reprimanded by a judge. The Kremlin had twice turned down Shapovalov’s requests to make the film on Red Square, the court was told.

Filming of the video, which is meant to be screened at the Eurovision Song Contest where Tatu are representing Russia, was cancelled yesterday.

The band shocked Britain when they hit No1 with their song All The Things She Said.

Last week in London their manager was banned from filming near Big Ben, but did shoot at Tower Bridge.

He has admitted using the casting ploy to seduce girls as young as 14, the age of consent in Russia.

The Sun revealed in February that Shapovalov’s ex-lover Elena Kipper accused him of sleeping with Julia Volkova when she was only 14.
