This year, AfterEllen.com created The 1st Annual AfterEllen.com Visibility Awards to give some recognition to all those people who've impacted lesbian/bisexual visibility in American entertainment... And t.A.T.u. was awarded the worst musical group in a brief but concise paragraph:
"The Russian pop duo finally fessed up to faking a lesbian relationship for profit, disappointing many lesbian/bi teens and making a joke out lesbianism (and themselves)."
