Tatu Sing "Gomen Nasai" 11 Times in Their Repentance Song

Time of publication: 15.08.2005 (17:22)
The lyrics of "Gomenasai", the song of repentance sung to Japan by the chaotic Russian duo Tatu, emerged on the 14th. The lyrics are in English, but the Japanese words "gomen nasai" are sung 11 times.

The two girls came to Japan for the first time in June 2003 and caused uproar with their antics, which included suddenly cancelling their live appearance on TV Asahi's "Music Station" in the middle of the broadcast. The song does not mention this incident directly, but one could take lyrics such as "I wanted to tell you that I'd made a mistake, but I left" as an apology for the furore they caused. It was written by a Russian songwriter.

During the recording, Yulia got into a bad mood when she saw the lyrics and work stopped for a time, but apparently the record company's representatives convinced her to go on with it, saying that, "It's a good song." The song appears on the album, which will be launched in Japan on 5th October, ahead of the rest of the world.
