Lesbian pop act Tatu are at the centre of a six-figure legal battle with a little-known songwriter who's claiming he wrote their pan-European No. 1 hit.
The sexually liberated duo topped the U.K. charts on Sunday with their debut single "All The Things She Said" after achieving No. 1 status across Europe. More than five million copies have been sold worldwide and Universal Records are raking in a fortune with it.

But Russian songwriter Sergey Galoyan, 22, claims he wrote and produced the song, originally called "I Lost My Mind," three years ago in his Moscow bedroom. He also says he brought Tatu stars, Lena Katina and Julia Volkova, together in 1999.

The credits on Tatu's album 200 Km/H In The Wrong Lane say the single was produced by Trevor Horn, who has worked with Tina Turner, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and LeAnn Rimes. The sleeve says Sergey was responsible only for the music, meaning he is in line for a much smaller slice of the royalties.

Sergey served Universal with legal papers last Thursday.
