NEW YORK, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- t.A.T.u.'s single, "All The Things She Said" debuted straight at # 1 on the UK Singles Chart this week. This overwhelming achievement slots t.A.T.u. in the lead of Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland's debut solo single "Stole"(#2,) JayZ & Beyonce's "Bonnie & Clyde" (#4,) Eminem's "Lose Yourself" (#7,) and Kelly Osbourne's "Shut Up" (#12.) This first-week outing on the Music and Media Pan European Singles Charts marks the Russian duo's giant sized accomplishment of having the #1 Single on the European Continent, a feat comparable to a #1 debut on the Billboards charts of America.

Meanwhile, t.A.T.u. dominate the stateside music meters as 200km/hr in the Wrong Lane catapults 20 spots up the Billboard Top 200 Album charts. This week, the band jumps to the astounding position of #33, heads and tails above Faith Hill, Jay-Z and Mariah Carey. The album's meteoric rise from #110 to #53 to #33 tracks Lena Katina and Julia Volkova's trend of chart-takeover since their full-length's US release five weeks ago. The teenaged titans have also conquered this week's Billboard Top Singles Chart, coming in at #4 on the Top 200; above and beyond Madonna's "Die Another Day."

Dramatic sales figures, escalating radio and MTV air-play combined with an ever-increasing media presence indicates t.A.T.u., "The Anti-Britney" as dubbed by the Los Angeles Times are steaming ahead full throttle and not looking back. Martin Kierszenbaum, Interscope A&R Executive for t.A.T.u., comments on their success, "I am happy for Julia and Lena. Their music is a bullet train connecting cultures across borders."

Julia and Lena are not surprised by the public's powerful reaction to their music. According to eighteen-year-old Julia, "People love us or hate us but nobody thinks nothing of us."

The first group from the Eastern bloc to sell over a million copies in Russia, Europe and Asia, t.A.T.u.'s live-shows have routinely sold out to over 50,000 fans. Borders crossed and audiences won, Lena and Julia have painted the charts red and are poised to exact a revolutionary overthrow of America.
