t.A.T.u. – a time of disappointment?
Some 20 years ago the idea of creation of the artificial sun was extremely popular in science-fiction literature. The goals of this business, according to the authors, were different: some wanted to get rid of nights, some wanted to melt the ice poles and get tropical forests instead of tundra, and some were simply afraid that our natural dear sun would fade out. Now, all this is taken as funny theories – not more than that. Let’s imagine for a second that this artificial star would have been created not only on paper but in reality – people would be disappointed in it immediately after a few natural disasters.
It’s possible that this sad way from admiration to disappointment is a dome for everything artificially created – that stands in opposition with the main laws of nature and is not supported by sincere feelings and emotions. Anyway, the latest news about group t.A.T.u. rise the most sad feelings and thoughts. Let’s use some logic – what do we expect from the most popular Russian project in the world? That’s right – we are expecting smashing hits recorded in the best studios of the world, new videos which are by the quality and the price could compete with the best international examples – we expect fairy-tales about love, difficulties and success!
t.A.T.u. met all those expectations from the beginning. We gladly wrote about their success, their collaboration with famous sound producers and upcoming English versions of their well knows to us songs, looking forward to the moment of new turns not only for us but for the Western audience too after the first steps had been made. But the miracle didn’t happen! With an almost unique sequence the group’s management launched cheap scandals in Russia, England and Japan. The scenario of the scandals remained the same though – only names of the cities were different. Every time Ivan Shapovalov announced a video shot and invited fans to take part in it, after which at certain time and on a certain place there was a massive people’s gathering followed by arrival of some cameramen and together with them – a police squad which tried to stop this unsanctioned gathering. All comments, as we say, are unnecessary here! The saddest part of it was that no one was intended to shoot any video at all. They needed only another scandal and raving of the journalists afterwards.
The only released song for the past six months Ne Ver’, Ne Boisya rises reasonable critics on contents and quality: where two tender girls, even if they play a game of a same sex love, are lousy compatible with the criminal philosophy. A normal person under normal circumstances has a right, to trust his close ones and friends, to fear the things those seem dangerous to him and has a right to ask for something that he needs. We don’t think about such things very often but such rights express our freedom. More over, Yulia and Lena are pretty tired of playing lesbian romance. The girls have arguments as because of boys so because of leadership in the group. The beautiful fairy tale about two Russian Cinderellas who became international stars is falling apart in front of eyes of the surprised audience. Pity, such a pity! We want to hope that not everything is lost yet and the group is just experiencing some down fall times. We want to believe that after the star diseases are over, t.A.T.u. will overcome it’s temporary crisis and will delight us with new even more smashing hits!
