Rumors that Yulia and Lena are in a quarrel and that the group is changing it’s name are pure nonsense. The work in the group is in a full spin despite of Volkova’s pregnancy. After the girls separated from their producer Ivan Shapovalov, their income increased (they currently receive 50% of the concert gage and discs’ sales). Besides, the girls are in total control of the artistic issues – what they want to sing.
On 4th of July, Tatu are flying off to London to record their second album. The contract with Universal Music has been already signed. As a matter of fact, they should have left for London two weeks ago, but paper procedures are slowing things down – getting the visas, etc. Pregnant Yulia is getting tired of waiting, saying that she wants to begin doing all the big work by now. It doesn’t mean that she’s doing nothing in Moscow. Together with Lena, she made demo versions of the songs (short tracks) to show the foreign company what a pregnant Russian girl is capable of. Yulia is getting tired quicker now, which has its natural explanation.
While waiting for the baby, Yulia quit smoking and takes frequent walks. She excluded contacts with the media out of her schedule in order to avoid negative emotions. She has her best support on this one – her mother Larisa, who is thoroughly protecting her daughter form the journalists, but she wasn’t against Yulia’s wish to get a small dog even though they already have a big dog – setter Rada. Spending the last days in Moscow, Volkova is entertaining herself as much as she can. She got herself a new hairstyle – African plaits. There’s no trace left of Yulia’s boyish image with her short haircut. So it took two days to braid her hair. She is not afraid to take a trip to London and feels well. Besides, her father and her boyfriend Pasha Sidorov, who impregnated Volkova, will accompany her on the trip. Yulia is still not going to officially register their union.
It will take nearly one month to record the new album in the British capital. After that the Tatu-girl will be granted a maternity leave. Yulia wants to deliver in Russia. From her own words, she doesn’t have enough trust in foreign doctors. About a year ago she had an appendix attack in L.A. “Local stars”, those she had to go to, asked her “Haven’t you tried to drink some Sprite?” Moreover, Yulia has an ace doctor in Moscow, who has a very good position. (Yulia didn’t want to tell the name). Yulia is hoping to get to the doctor on time when the important moment comes. The estimated delivery date is set on the second half of September. It can happen that it will be a present for Katina’s birthday, which is turning 20 years on October, 4.
While one of the Tatu-girls will be enjoying her maternity, the group won’t stay idle. The pause will be used for an active promotion of the pf the new album recorded in London. After that, Volkova will leave the baby to her mother’s care and will set off for a big tour, including Europe and America. According to the groups press-attachй Alexandra Tityanko, the group is asked for 20 gigs in China only. They are very popular in China, but never have performed there.
