And this one, and that one", she liked to approach artists and to say "I'm the grand daughter of Asia Nikitovychna. I like when you said, and this phrase really touched me..." She also liked to spin around the mirror, to sing songs. Although it was clumsy, sometimes she successed very good...
She really liked to play with Barbies and Kens. She had a lot of them. She liked to do meetings with her friend with these dolls. They sewed clothes for them, "visited" each other, they could play like this for hours.
Lena wasn't very affluent with love. She always played with the boys in the backyard, but treated everybody equally. She had love on the dacha. "Grandma, I like this boy". - "Why, Lena?" - "Because he's a leader, everybody's listening to him. She like when a person is representing something from himself. It's part of any member of our family.
In school she studied with no interest. But then a friend teased her: "You're not ashamed? You're smart!" and it worked. Since then she studied better.
Around 7-th-8th class she got interested with all feminine stuff. She was coming to me, and we went straight to the market. "Grandma, let's go to the cosmetics, let's buy some manicure, lacquer. Here, buy me this..." just small things, lacquer for the nails, lip-gloss. I can't say she wore a lot of make-up.
In the last class she started to smoke. She came to me and called me for a walk. I wondered why she wants to take me to the street at evening. And Lena said: "Grandma, I want to confess to you. I'm smoking". What could I do? I took I promise from her, not to get too much into it. But in issues like this one, it's hard to influence her- she's very independent, even today.
Lena - inborn psychologist, she can solve any problem, any dilemma with laugh, persuade, calm down. And we always advised her to become a psychologist. And now look how it turned out? They are writing that there were contests. Nonsense. Vania just came to "Neposedy" and chose Lena. Then Yulia appeared. I was shocked when they chose this lesbian theme for them. But then i calmed down, i started to regard it as a role.
Lena is a very generous girl. I always told her: "Lena, stop throwing the money, why should give you presents to everyone? You have long life in front of you, and it's unknown, how things will lay". And she was answering: "Grandma, God gave me this money, so i can give it away". She even gives us money sometimes, although i get offended by it. But she still gives. She put it under the phone, under a pillow, or inside some book. Then she calls and says: "Grandma, look in that book..."
She's a calm person. Yulia, conversely, she's a crazy one. She broke up with a young man recently- nothing special, no tears, she still talks with him and his mother. I ask her: "Are you planning to get married", and she says "No, grandma, not yet.", "Will you bless me with great grandchildren?" - "Well, yes... I'll think about it next year. But first i have to quit smoking, get prepared". She takes things very circumstantial.
Larisa Viktorovna Volkova- Yulia Volkova's mother:
There are 2 persons living in Yulia: The first one, very disciplined and appeasable, the other one - Totally inadequate, militant, the one that leads after him the whole company. It always was like this, and now also.
Sometimes i made strict inculcations to her. The strictest- When she started smoking in age of 12. I started to find matches and lighters in her pockets. Not because i was looking for, just when i was cleaning laundry. Besides, she smelled from smoke. She explained that the smell is because all her friends are smoking etc. But then, even under pressure, she didn't quit. She quit later. By herself.
She always was interested with dogs. We had a backyard full of dogs, and there were always 7-8 dogs walking after Yulia in a group. She played with them, built hovels from leaves and branches, feed them. They were seeing her off the porch, to school, and back.
When she was five years old, she chose the piano. We went to Riga to a birthday of our friends. They celebrated in a coffee house. And there was a musician who played on a synthesizer. And all the 3 hours of the party, Yulia stood next to him. Then she grew braver, and asked: "Mister, can i press one key?" when she came back, she said she wants an instrument like this. And that she will go to music-school. She liked it. She did excellent all the task from music-school.
In the kindergarten she had a boyfriend, his name was Ruslan. Yulia always liked being friends with boys. She found girls sneaks and weepers. Talks about love started in the 8-th grade. But there were no special sufferings. Maybe because she was very busy. She went to the music-school, and then she was received to children ensemble "Neposedy". Exactly at that time there were Serejka Lazarev and Vlad Topalov participates in the group, who later became the duo Smash!!! She had a narrow circle of dialogue, but she spent there most of her time: Traveled to concert tours, aboard, for vacations. And only then, when the group t.A.T.u was formed, Yulia started to point out some names. But never introduced. And only at the age of 17 she met her first love- Pasha, the father of her child.
Her first fees she brought home. And she was always saying: "Mom, Dad, if you need something, take. Waste the money, please". With no argues. Yulia's daughter is one year and four months old. I can say that Vika is more stubborn than Yulia in that age. She's pertinacious, insistent... I think she have it from her mom.
