Appear With t.A.T.u! Seeking High School Girls

With the visit to Japan by the popular Russian high school girl duo t.A.T.u having been officially confirmed as starting on the 25th, their record company Universal Music is looking for high school girls to appear in the video for their new song Show Me Love.

The aim of the two girls' trip to Japan is to film the video for Show Me Love, which features on their debut album t.A.T.u (aka 200km/h). Their producer Ivan Shapovalov (37) stated that, "We are filming this in 4 cities around the world: London, Moscow, Tokyo and Washington DC. The main part of the filming will take place in Tokyo."

The filming of the video began on May 2nd by Big Ben in London, UK. Some of the filming took place in Moscow's Red Square, but there was trouble in the form of t.A.T.u being stopped and led away by the police and presidential guards because they went ahead with the filming without permission.

The filming in Tokyo is due to take place on the 29th of this month. About 300 high school girls will be chosen to take part by means of an audition. Likely locations being mooted for filming include Shibuya and Roppongi. The two girls showed their eagerness, with Julia (18) saying that, "We want to do something scandalous, as usual." while Lena (18) said, "This will be the perfect opportunity for us to come into direct contact with our fans. We want to have fun while filming."

According to a Japanese fan site, Mezamashi TV said this morning that they'd announce details of how to apply to participate the day after tomorrow. Any girl from 16 to 25 (that's me out, then) can take part, and they'll provide the uniforms (definitely out - can't compete with these petite Japanese girls!).
